The Mole Antonelliana is undoubtedly the most important and prestigious monument in Torino. It was designed by architect Alessandro Antonelli, but it was completed after his death, in 1889. Even though it was originally supposed to become a synagogue, today it houses the National Museum of Cinema, and it is believed to be the tallest museum in the world.
On top of the pinnacle, the tallest point of the tower is composed of a tridimensional, twelve-pointed star. As the greatest skaters in the world will be the stars of this Grand Prix, the starred point of the Mole was chosen as the symbol of the event; in the foreground, the sketch of a skater is represented as a shining star, leaving a thin but dynamic trail on the ice.
